In one year what do employees of the Juneau Police Department accomplish? The incredibly diverse responsibilities of a Juneau police officer or civilian staff member make the term “routine business” a dichotomy.

Behind the statistics are days of service to the community, tempered with skill, experience, and emotion; days that for many of our citizens may represent a bad experience or even tragedy. But when major events occur, the citizens of Juneau come together in support of this agency. Our annual report is an attempt to take the everyday work lives of Police Department employees and create a snapshot in time from the drift of police work that came before and continues every day.
