Parks & Recreation Winter Pass

The much anticipated Parks & Recreation Winter Pass goes on sale November 1! You can beat the winter blues this season with five months of unlimited access at your favorite CBJ Parks & Recreation facilities for just $200 + tax. The pass includes swimming, fitness classes, and workout equipment at Juneau Pools; Open Skate, Freestyle, Stick N’ Puck, and Pond Hockey at Treadwell Arena; and track access, Open Turf, Turf for Tots, and Chair Yoga at Dimond Park Field House.

To get the most bang for your buck, purchase your Winter Pass early and use it often; it is available for purchase at any participating facility or online beginning November 1 and is valid through March 31, 2025. Please note: the Winter Pass is assigned to an individual and is nontransferable.

Turkey Bowling & Free Skate | November 27

How many pins can you knock down using a frozen turkey while standing on ice skates? Find out on Wednesday, November 27 during the Free Skate at Treadwell Arena from 7 - 8:15 p.m. If you knock down the most pins you take home the turkey! Admission and skate rental are free thanks to Juneau-Gastineau Rotary.

Santa Skate | November 29

Herald in the holiday season at the free Santa Skate on Friday, November 24 from 7:00 – 8:15 p.m. at Treadwell Arena. Admission and skate rental are included thanks to our sponsor, the Douglas Fourth of July Committee. Please note, skates are limited and are first come, first served.

Speed Skating Clinics

Speed skating clinics return to Treadwell Arena this season! Clinics happen 2-3 times per month on select Sundays at 2:45 p.m. Each 1-hour session costs $15 + tax and includes instruction and short track speed skate rental. Skaters must be 12+ with intermediate skating skills (be able to skate comfortably without assistance and perform a snowplow stop). Gloves are recommended; helmets are required. Participants can register online in advance, or simply drop-in. Check the ice schedule to find the next available clinic.
