Parent & Tot Ice Skating Lessons | September 27
Parent & Tot Ice Skating Lessons are for children aged 5 and younger and their parent or guardian, during which they will learn the basics: falling and getting up, marching, snowplow stops, and getting comfortable on the ice. Lessons begin on September 27 and are held every other Sunday from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Visit the Treadwell Ice Arena calendar for the full schedule. Registration opens at noon on the Monday prior to each lesson, and there are only 20 spots available. The cost is $16 plus tax, which covers the child and adult. It also includes the rentals and helmets that are required on the ice. Dress warm!
Breast Cancer Awareness Skate | October 9
Join us to raise awareness and honor those affected by breast cancer at Treadwell Arena on October 9 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy FREE skating, drawing on the ice, a bake sale, a silent auction, and purchase a limited-edition shirt. Skates will be first-come, first-served. This event is generously sponsored by Jared Lee, DDS, and Cancer Connection! Donations will be accepted at the door, and all proceeds from this event will benefit Cancer Connection.
3rd Graders Skate for Free
All Juneau 3rd graders skate for free at Treadwell Arena during any drop-in session! This includes Open Skate, Family Skate, Stick N’ Puck, and Pond Hockey, and skate rental is included. For more information and registration instructions, visit the 3rd Grade Pass webpage.
