IN ORDER TO BID ON ANY ITEM, you must be registered.  To register you must set up an account though publicsurplus.com, be 18 years of age and have a government photo ID. All registration information the bidder provides shall be current, complete and accurate. Minimum bid will start at $300.00 for each vehicle.

PAYMENT:  Public Processing, LLC, a third-party payment processing company, receives and processes ALL payments for the Juneau Police Department through publicsurplus.com. Payment may only be made online by credit card or by wire transfer – no cash, checks, or money orders will be accepted.

CLAIMING YOUR PROPERTY.  Successful bidders must present the Notice of Award, the Paid Receipt, and a legal photo ID (e.g. a driver’s license or passport) at the Juneau Police Department by the end of the next business day following the close of auction in order to receive paperwork necessary to obtain title and registration from DMV.  Special exceptions will be made for wire transfers as payment can take 24-48hrs to process (see our terms and conditions for more information). Once the winning bidder has obtained the documentation from the Juneau Police Department, the buyer will contact Juneau Police Department’s contracted tow company to make arrangements for the vehicle to be released.
