Boards, Committees, Commissions & Task Forces

The following Empowered Boards and Systemic Racism Review Committee either have current vacancies or terms coming due as of June 30. Applications are being accepted with a final application deadline yet-to-be determined, tentatively scheduled for late May.  For Empowered Boards and the Systemic Racism Review Committee the full Assembly meets and holds 10-minute interviews with each applicant who has returned the advanced interview questions sent from the Clerk’s Office once an application has been received.

DOCKS & HARBORS BOARD: currently one vacancy with a term ending June 30, 2025; as well as three seats for full terms beginning July 1, 2023 and running through June 30, 2026.

EAGLECREST BOARD: Two seats for full terms beginning July 1, 2023 and running through June 30, 2026.

AIRPORT BOARD: Two seats for full terms beginning July 1, 2023 and running through June 30, 2026.

SYSTEMIC RACISM REVIEW COMMITTEE: currently one vacancy with a term ending June 30, 2023 & one vacancy with a term ending June 30, 2025; as well as two seats for full terms beginning July 1, 2023 and running through June 30, 2026.

Appointments to CBJ Boards are considered by the Assembly Human Resources Committee (HRC) at its monthly meeting held the same Monday as the Assembly meetings at 6:00p.m. (unless otherwise noted).  The HRC does not meet in October due to Assembly reorganization following the annual election.  Empowered Board appointments are made at separate meetings with the full Assembly sitting as the Human Resources Committee.
