Boards, Committees, Commissions & Task Forces


The Juneau Economic Development Council (JEDC) has 3 seats with terms coming due.  If you are interested in serving on the board, please fill out an application or give JEDC a call for more information.  Applications are due by October 20 to allow time for JEDC to review and interview before forwarding to the CBJ Assembly for final appointment in November.

Interested in serving on a board or committee or know someone that would be a great addition to a board or committee?  Point that person to this webpage to fill out an application or submit an application for yourself by hitting the ‘Apply’ button and fill out the online application and hit submit – this will keep your application on file for one year.  You are welcome to apply for a seat on a board/committee that you are interested in even if no vacancy on that board/committee is listed.

Appointments to CBJ Boards are considered by the Assembly Human Resources Committee (HRC) at its monthly meeting held the same Monday as the Assembly meetings at 6:00p.m. (unless otherwise noted).  The HRC does not meet in October due to Assembly reorganization following the annual election.  Empowered Board appointments are made at separate meetings with the full Assembly sitting as the Human Resources Committee.
