General Description

The structure is two-stories with an asymmetrical side gabled (saltbox). It is a wood frame structure sided with wood shingles. It has a concrete block foundation. It also features a small shed roofed entry porch, a scalloped verge-board, and a variety of window types.

Historical Information

John and Vera Museth owned the property from 1913-1924. John was a clerk, first for the Alaska Juneau Wharf Company and later for the Juneau Gastineau mining Company. Sam and Anna Rosenberg bought the property in 1928. Sam was born in Maine in 1876 or 1877 and came to Juneau in 1914. He was a cook, fireman and mill worker. By 1929 he was associated with Capital Transfer/Taxi.
