This triangular-shaped, two-story building measures 45' x 54'. It has a wood piling foundation and the roof is flat. It has storefront windows on first floor and double hung windows on the second floor. The building is wood frame construction with horizontal wood siding. There is a sidewalk canopy.
Historical InformationOne of three known locations where Winter and Pond operated their photography business between 1893 and 1943. Frontier entrepreneurs as well as professional photographers, they sold curios and took visitors on excursion trips up the Taku River. The Winter and Pond photograph collection at the Alaska State Library documents the life in Southeast Alaska during this period.
