General Description

This is a one-story, wood frame structure. It has a front gabled roof and intersecting hip. The foundation has wood skirting and it is sided with wood shingles. It features a shed roof over the entry stairs and a round window in the entry fa?ade.

Historical Information

Believed to have been constructed as early as 1907-1908, the dwelling was purchased in 1935 by Sam Feldon who made improvement and lived in it for a number of years. He also built the Feldon-Kendler Apartments next door. Today home of Dale DeArmond, Juneau Artist, and her husband, Robert N. DeArmond Jr., Alaska journalist and historian. DeArmond?s research and writings provide the foundation for the study of Southeast Alaska history especially the Juneau area.
