Additional Information
This was a one-and-one-half story wood frame house with a moderate pitch gable front and large low pitched shed roofed addition. It has a concrete foundation. It has been significantly altered with a full-story addition that incorporates decorative brackets, arches over the double hung second story windows and a pediment.
Historical InformationFor many years Ernest Le Pulver worked as a clerk for Emery Valentine. When Valentine died in 1930, Pulver inherited the jewelry business, the Valentine Building, and half a dozen other business properties. Unfortunately, soon after that Pulver died in a household accident. His sister inherited the property and for many years Valentine?s business holdings were held by out-of-state owners. Pulver owned the house from 1910 until 1926 when it was sold to William Steinbach, carpenter and miner, who owned properties in the city.
