The building is two-and-one-half stories. It is a wood frame structure with a steep pitch roof. It has a full basement, concrete foundation and is sided with wood shingles. Other features are a partial width small open front porch with a single square corner post and a bay window appendage extending above hip roof at first level. Basement daylights on south side of building.
Historical InformationReportedly constructed in 1893 by local Juneau carpenter, Dave Martin, on site of present Capital School. This structure along with other houses were moved to its present location by the Davis family when original site was needed for the construction of a school in 1917.
