In 1890 Ebner came to Juneau to work for the Eastern Alaska Mining and Milling Company. Later he organized the Ebner Gold Mining Company, 1897-1907, and operated a 15-stamp mill near the first large falls of Gold Creek named for him. The Property was sold by later owners to Alaska Juneau Gold Mining Company. The Ebner House has been commercial property for a number of years.
