This irregularly-shaped, two-story wood frame building measures 40' x 60'. It has a concrete foundation, double hung windows, and a flat roof. Originally a parlor house, the twelve bedrooms have been converted to apartments. Alterations include storefront windows on first floor with a vernacular entrance, new horizontal cedar siding, a plain cornice and a sidewalk canopy.
Historical InformationAccording to oral history, it was one of Juneau's more infamous houses of ill-repute during the gold rush and mining days. The building reflects the 1883 - 1911 period of significance.
