This is a two-story, irregular-shaped, wood frame building measuring 60' x 200'. The building is on a wood piling foundation and the roof is flat. The building has horizontal wood siding. There are storefront windows on the first floor with double hung windows on the second floor. The building has been little altered since its construction. It is located in the filled region on the Tidelands Addition to the Juneau Town site.
Historical InformationOriginally the building housed Jorgenson's Hardware operated by Jorgenson who also owned a saw mill on lower Franklin Street. It was the first store in Juneau exclusively devoted to hardware as opposed to general merchandise.
