Historical InformationThe building was owned by the Fukuyama family. W.H. Fukuyama began construction on the concrete building in 1929 to house their Juneau Laundry business. In 1942, after 40 years of business in Juneau, the Juneau Laundry closed. The Fukuyama family were forced to go to internment camps during W.W.II. Although the family did not return to Juneau after their release from camp, they continued to own the building. The Triangle Cleaners operated in the building after 1942.
