General Description

The two-story wood frame building measures 37' x 70'. It has a wood piling foundation, wood frame storefront, and a flat roof. The first floor has storefront windows and the second floor has double hung windows. In the 1960s, the owners stuccoed over the wood siding. It has a sidewalk canopy.

Historical Information

The Arctic Building, like most of the retail buildings along front street, housed a variety of businesses. Dave Housel moved his Brunswick Bowling Alley business to this location in 1923 and renamed it The Arctic Pool Room.
