Youth, up to 18 years of age and/or through high school, unless the program is intended for disabled youth, in which case the program may serve youth no older than 20 years of age. The maximum funding level per child is $300 per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) for summer camp activities and $100 for organized sports activities (ie: team registration fees).

Scholarships may be used for registration or program fees for activities other than Parks & Recreation programs, but certain guidelines apply for all activities.

Completing a scholarship form DOES NOT register a child for the program. Please complete the registration form separately and send to the agency. Parks & Recreation will not accept or forward on any outside agency’s registration forms. If awarded a scholarship, Parks & Recreation will notify the agency.

Scholarships are awarded based on a sliding scale. All information submitted as part of the application is confidential and will be used only to determine the level of scholarship awarded.

Invoices for programs must be submitted within 30 days after the program ends or by July 31, whichever occurs first. Invoices submitted after that deadline are not eligible for reimbursement, despite an application being timely filed and a scholarship being initially awarded.  

Any late fees incurred will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian and will not be paid for by this program.

Foster children will receive full funding. Scholarships applications should be submitted through Office of Children’s services who will forward it on to Parks & Recreation.
