Indoor Soccer
Coaches have their rosters and should be notifying their teams!
Indoor Soccer
Indoor Soccer is for youth ages 5-14. Teams are coached by VOLUNTEER COACHES, typically family members of a child on the team. The program is about skill development, sportsmanship and fun! This year, the season will begin mid-October and end in mid-December.
- Practices are one-hour once a week for all divisions, Monday through Friday
- Games typically take place on Saturdays between 9am-3pm
- Gyms used include:
- Marie Drake
- Dzantik’i Heeni
- Harborview
- Floyd Dryden
- Mendenhall River
- Kaxdigoowu Heen
- Auke Bay
League play for Indoor Soccer is divided into coed and girls divisions with town and valley locations. The 11-14 division is coed only. Please note that divisions and locations may be combined if registration numbers are low. This mean that divisions split by gender may become coed and if there are not enough registered for the town location, they will be folded into the valley. Kids must turn 5 years old by November 1, 2024, in order to play.

General Information
What equipment does my child need? What weather events will cancel games or practices? When do I drop of my child at practice? There are many questions about the season and most can be answered here.
Please consider becoming a volunteer coach! Our programs cannot happen without the volunteers. Soccer knowledge is helpful, but not required. Whereas, a background check is required. You can find the volunteer application here.
Parents, spectators, and guardians should abide by the code of conduct during games and practices. Sports can be an emotionally charged environment, and sometimes our emotions get the better of us. Yelling at referees, coaching from the bench or saying negative things about the children playing is prohibited.
Please remember:
- These are kids
- This is a game
- Coaches are volunteers
- The Referees and umpires are human
- Spectators should cheer for everyone
- No college scholarships will be handed out
Adults should model positive behaviors: cheer for good plays, regardless of who made it; treat the coach as an ally and help out where you can; and be respectful to other adults, children, officials and the coaches.
At the conclusion of the season, please take a moment to evaluate your coach.
Thank you for volunteering; the season wouldn’t happen without you! Here are a few items to help you get started:

Ball sizes:
- Size 4: Ages 5-10

All coaches, parents/guardians and spectators must abide by this Code of Conduct. Failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave.
