In concert with the State of Alaska’s March 13 COVID-19 Health Mandate, Parks & Recreation is closing some public facilities – Augustus Brown Pool, Dimond Park Aquatic Center, Mount Jumbo Gym, and Zach Gordon Youth Center – and suspending programs – Coed Volleyball, Senior Open Gym, BAM Afterschool, and Start Smart.  The CBJ closures and suspensions are effective starting Monday, March 16, and will last until further notice.  You can read the complete information release and get more information on COVID-19 updates at juneau.org/COVID-19.

BAM Middle School X-Country Running Club

Our season will run Monday, September 28 through Friday October 23.  Practices will take place Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:15-4:30pm.  There are three locations for families to choose from: the downtown turf (next to JDHS); Dzantik’i Heeni Middle school; and Floyd Dryden Middle school.

BAM Family nights are free to all middle school families. We believe in quality time together as a family and encourage bringing the whole family.

All family nights are free, fun and include a free meal. Students must be accompanied by a caring adult.
