Our landscape crew maintains almost 200 hanging baskets, 60 flower barrels, and 50 flower beds from the airport to the cruise ship docks and relies on the generosity of our citizens to do so. Donations can be made online (look under ‘special events’) by choosing any combination of amounts to reach your desired donation total. All donations received by April 30 will be included on this year’s recognition sign that will be on display at Marine Park Plaza. The first seven to donate $500+ will receive a beautiful hanging basket as a thank you from the crew!

Brotherhood Bridge Parking Lot is closed until April 19. The Brotherhood Bridge parking lot is closed to the public through April 19. The public is asked to avoid the construction area for the safety of workers, residents, and visitors. More information and project updates can be found here.
Marine Park Construction
After a weather-related delay, construction officially began on April 6 for the planned rebuild of Marine Park. It is expected to last through 2026 with estimated completion in April 2027. During this time, pedestrians will need to follow signs around the construction site. A map of pedestrian routes, along with information about the project, can be found at bit.ly/MarineParkProject.
Reconstruction of Marine Park is funded entirely by Marine Passenger Fees, which are fees and taxes the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) collects from the cruise ship industry. The funds are restricted by the U.S. Constitution to projects benefitting cruise ships and their passengers.
Elevator construction at Dimond Park Field House
During the summer of 2025, the Dimond Park Field House began a major upgrade with the installation of a new elevator. Construction of the elevator has been completed; however, final integration with the building’s fire alarm system has delayed its opening. The anticipated completion date is late spring 2026.
The facility is currently operating under regular hours and programming. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve accessibility and enhance the Field House experience! For full schedule details, please visit the DPFH Calendar.
