Project Overview

Si't Tuwan (Beside the Glacier) Park is a cozy mini park tucked at the foot of Thunder Mountain. In the summer of 2023, CBJ Parks & Recreation and Corvus Design invited the community to a barbeque and public meeting at the park to gather ideas for its improvement. That input shaped a final design focused on enhancing play, safety, and accessibility for all ages.

Construction began in June 2026 at Si't Tuwan Park. The park is currently closed as we begin a major renovation that includes brand new playground equipment, basketball improvements, drainage improvements, new play surfacing, and enhanced lighting throughout the site. We appreciate the community's patience as we make these improvements. The anticipated completion should happen by the end of summer 2026.

Update July 29, 2026

Construction is ongoing at Si't Tuwan Park. Demo and groundwork have been completed, and playground structures have been built. Contractors will work on surfacing next before carrying out final landscaping and design. Si't Tuwan Park is expected to open in August.

Update August 18, 2026

Due to a materials delay, Si't Tuwan Park is now expected to open by early fall.
