Contest Rules

1. Each contestant or family may submit up to 3 images by October 3, 2025.
2. All submissions must be:
   • original and unpublished
   • taken by a Juneau Public Libraries cardholder
   • taken in Juneau or surrounding areas in 2025
   • related to reading or the library
   • appropriate for all ages and audiences
3. The contestant(s) gives permission to the Juneau Public Libraries (JPL) to digitally post and/or print their photo submissions and full name.
4. The contestant is responsible for obtaining written or verbal permission for public use from all subject(s) in photo submissions, including parent or guardian permission for subjects under age 18.
5. Juneau Public Libraries may use any submitted photos in future marketing materials including but not limited to social media, website, posters, and brochures.
6. JPL is not responsible or liable for legal implications resulting in the publication of any submitted photo.
7. Please check in with staff prior to photographing others inside the libraries.
8. Prizes will only be awarded to winners who can pick them up in person at the libraries.

Contest Judging

We’ll be looking for photos that:

• show creativity
• relate to books or libraries
• showcase Juneau

A selection of photos will be showcased in our display cases. Winners will receive a professional print of their print and a local gift card to a business of their choice.
