Full Description | Disasters at Home
Free
Disasters can happen anywhere and anytime and Juneau has seen its fair share of fires, floods, landslides, and avalanches. Disasters at Home, an exhibit of photographs from the City Museum?s collection, documents 11 of those disasters, spanning 95 years between the Juneau Hotel fire in 1911 to the 2006 Holy Trinity Episcopal Church fire.
On Saturday, October 22nd, join Marie Darlin as she leads a panel of locals who have a personal connection with one or more of the featured disasters. They will be sharing the history of each event along with some personal memories. Audience members will also be encouraged to join the discussion and share their memories of the events.
