Museum Store

At the City Museum store, you will find a variety of souvenirs and gifts.

As a small city museum, our store focuses on items that directly relate to our local history, museum collection, and exhibitions, and much of our merchandise is sourced from local artists, makers, and authors. If you don’t have time to tour the museum, you can visit the store without paying admission.

The City Museum store is the only official store selling Alaska State Capitol souvenirs.  Our Capitol collection includes an ornament, a variety of pins, mini state flags, postcards, magnets, and Alaska state flag neck ties and scarves.

Find books for every age! We carry children’s picture books, young adult non-fiction books, and for older readers, a variety of genres including mining history, memoir, and poetry books.

Check out our home goods section for Swedish dishcloths designed by Hollis Kitchin, flour sack towels from Frost & Fur, smoked salmon from Wildfish Cannery, and kelp products from our friends at Barnacle Foods.

We also have art notecards, prints, and jewelry by local artists that make wonderful gifts and we keep our postcard and sticker racks well stocked!

We keep our Trickster Company section well stocked with playing cards, earrings (like the kind seen on the TV show Alaska Daily!), ornaments, and more.
