Full Description

April's First Friday at the Juneau-Douglas City Museum promises to be lively and melodic with the presence of the Juneau Jambusters, playing music in the galleries, beginning at 5:00 pm. ?We are a loosely-joined conglomerate of ukulele musicians with varying abilities and amounts of courage,? says Rhonda Gardiner, one of the initial organizers of the group who, ?got us all into this mess.?

The Museum invited the Jambusters to be inspired by the work currently on display in the 12th Annual 12x12 Community Art Exhibit, whose theme is ?Let?s Get Emotional?. The musicians promise to entertain First Friday visitors with songs of emotion and welcome anyone to bring their ukulele and join in, sing along, or just enjoy listening. The Museum will be open until 7:00 pm, and the Jambusters will play as long as there are people still enjoying the music, they say.
