Future Uses for Marie Drake and Floyd Dryden

Contact Us

The Juneau School District will give the Marie Drake and Floyd Dryden buildings back to CBJ this summer as part of their school consolidation plan.  The community has informally generated many ideas on what to do with these two large facilities.  Some of the ideas include childcare and early childhood education, a senior center, Juneau Animal Rescue, and others.   CBJ is soliciting proposals from community organizations (Tribal, nonprofit, and for-profit) for use of the buildings.  Scroll to the bottom of this page for project timelines, building floor plans, zoning information and other resources to inform your submission. Please submit your proposal by May 20, 2024 in order for it to be included in the discussion at the June 3, 2024 Public Works and Facilities Committee.
