Future Uses for Marie Drake and Floyd Dryden

The Juneau School District will give the Marie Drake and Floyd Dryden buildings back to CBJ this summer as part of their school consolidation plan.  The community has informally generated many ideas on what to do with these two large facilities.  Some of the ideas include childcare and early childhood education, a senior center, Juneau Animal Rescue, and others.  CBJ solicited proposals from community organizations (Tribal, nonprofit, and for-profit) for use of the buildings.  Proposals were due on May 20, 2024 and were included in the packet at the June 3, 2024 Public Works and Facilities Committee meeting.

Deadline = May 20, 2024
