The Juneau Human Rights Commission is in the process of  planning monthly Town Halls via Zoom Webinar with each month being a specific topic/focus.  Please check back for final dates/topics.

  • The 2013 Juneau Human Rights Essay Contest three winners were:
  • December 10 is observed across the world as Human Rights Day. It honors the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption and proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) on 10 December 1943.  To mark this important date and in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Juneau Human Rights Commission held an Essay Contest for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in Juneau.
