FAQs

Although it’s fun for all players to have the app and be able to find/complete missions, it’s okay if some members do not. For example, you have a 5-year-old child on your family team who does not have a phone. The child can still be on the team and participate in the missions.

There are three types of missions:

  1. Text-based missions are questions and answers. You might be able to answer the questions without any research, you may find it using the internet, or you may have to make a trip to a park, for example.
  2. Photo/video missions: Theses missions require a photo or video (usually a live-capture, meaning you can’t use a photo you took, say, last year to show you visiting a certain location).
  3. GPS check-ins: Using your GPD location through your phone, you will ‘check-in’ at noted locations.

Many missions have bonus points available which are noted in the mission details. The game admin will be monitoring submissions and adding points based on the criteria. It could be things like bonus points for creativity or points for having more team members present in the photo/video.

If your submissions does not satisfy the requirements of that particular mission, you may lose points. We’ll be watching!

No, you don’t have to do them all, we’d be amazed if you did! There are many, many, MANY missions within the Experience. You’ll see a good number of them when the game launches on August 7, new missions will be added periodically throughout the Experience, and some will only be available for a limited time. Pro tip: Turn notifications on! Goosechase will alert you when new missions become available.

We will send a message to your team through the Goosechase app should you or your team win a prize. The team prizes for participating in the scavenger hunt will be announced shortly after the game closes and the submissions reviewed. Winners in the Month of Play will be contacted on August 30 either through the Goosechase app or by phone/email if your contact information is in the Parks & Recreation portal from a previous activity.
