Full Description

Our second Coffee & Collections program of the month is a preview of a new summer walking tour that the Museum intends to offer on Saturdays throughout the tourist season.

The program and tour is called Local Heroes. The people whose stories are shared qualify as \"everyday\" people who at some point stepped up to serve the community of Juneau or stood up for a moral cause when the opportunity arose. They were selected in hopes that their story might inspire others to think, \"I could do that too.\"

Join us on Saturday, April 23rd, from 10:30 am to 12 noon to meet some of these people, through stories and images, and to share your ideas of who in Juneau you consider to be a \"local hero\".

As always, our two Coffee & Collections programs this month are sponsored by both Heritage Coffee Company and the Friends of the City Museum, who provide us with refreshment.
