You can pay fines by cash or check in person at any of the libraries. You can pay via credit card through your library account online. If you have a charge for a lost or damaged item from another library (not Juneau Public Libraries), you need to pay through your online library account or contact that library directly.

  • Ask library staff for assistance.
  • Fill out a purchase suggestion form.
  • Request the item through Interlibrary Loan.

We encourage adults to come to the library with their children. Anyone under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Children are expected to follow library rules, and staff are not responsible for supervising unattended children.

We’re here to help! Give us a call or visit one of the libraries for account assistance.

Juneau residents can get a library card by bringing a photo ID and proof of local address (such as a piece of mail) to any library.

You can reset your PIN or password online using the Reset Password/PIN link, or you can come to any library to reset your PIN in person.

You can choose whether or not to let others use your card to check things out, however you are ultimately responsible for everything that is on your account. If someone else has your library card, we assume they have your permission to check things out. If you would like someone else to pick up items that are on hold for you, they must either have your library card in hand or know your full name and the titles of everything you have on hold.
