Project Overview

This $2 Million project will remove the Alaska Marine Highways transfer bridge and construct decking to fill the last remaining hole in the seawalk, allowing pedestrians to walk from the Princess Dock to Marine Park along the water. The project will also install new utilities for future connection to the South Berth of the 16B Project, including water and shore-tie power conduits. The shore-tie power conduits will someday hold multiple 6-inch power cables that will supply power to cruise ships. This future connection will not take place until AEL&P has the necessary generation capacity.
