Description:
The project will demolish ~2400 SF of one-story wood framed structure that houses administrative offices, a meeting room and a sleep-off center and is attached to the residential care portion of the Rainforest Recovery Center. The project will construct a new ~4400 SF one-story wood framed addition over the footprint of the demolished space. The addition will house administrative offices, a reception and entry lobby, an assessment center, and a four room Detox Suite. The project will also undertake small selective demolition and renovation at other locations in the facility as funding allows. The project also includes the following work: demolition of back-up generator and transformer and installation of new electrical service and communications wiring from Bartlett Regional Hospital, new paving and site improvements to integrate the enlarged Detox wing into the site, revisions to sewer and water service to the facility, concrete foundations and slab on grade, wood framing, fiberglass windows, vinyl siding, asphalt shingles with an option for asphalt shingle replacement for the entire facility as an alternate bid item, hollow metal frames and doors, wood doors and relites, door hardware including electronic card access systems, gypsum wall board and painting, carpet and sheet vinyl, cabinets and solid surface countertops, bath accessories, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, DDC systems, lighting and power systems, special electrical systems, and a new fire alarm system throughout the facility. The work will occur in an occupied facility so coordination with Owner’s operations and phasing of the work is required.
