Shaune Drive, Charles Way getting pavement & drainage improvements

July 20, 2018 – FYI, News

A contractor for the City and Borough of Juneau has started work on pavement and drainage improvements to Shaune Drive in Lemon Creek this week. Please be cautious of any traffic changes, periodic delays and detours during construction. Activity, including work on Charles Way, is scheduled to last through September.

Arete Construction is anticipated to work 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shaune Drive work will be completed first before improvements begin on Charles Way. PDC Engineers is performing project inspection.

Construction activity includes asphalt pavement removal, excavation, underground storm drain utilities, new asphalt pavement, and other related work. Notifications to Shaune Drive and Charles Way residents and business owners will be given at least 24 hours in advance for driveway closures, and 48 hours in advance for roadway closures. Construction signage will be in place.
