Riverside Rotary Park construction to begin Sunday, August 8

Carver Construction is scheduled to begin construction activities at Riverside Rotary Park on Sunday, August 8. The project seeks to implement features contained in CBJ’s 2017 Riverside Rotary Park Master Plan, including completion of the 9/11 Memorial, relocation of the existing shelter, and construction of a new larger shelter. During construction activity, the 9/11 Memorial and the shelter will be closed to the public. Periodic closures and detours are possible around the playground and park pathways. Please use caution and follow all traffic controls and signage throughout the project areas. Project completion is expected in early September.

The project is being funded by Glacier Valley Rotary, with supplemental resources provided by CBJ, Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska, Rotary District 5010, and the Juneau Community Foundation’s Parks & Trails Fund.
