Reminder: Sunday, September 4, is the deadline to register to vote in the 2022 CBJ Regular Municipal Election
The deadline to register to vote in the 2022 City and Borough of Juneau Regular Municipal Election is this Sunday, September 4.
If you will turn 18 by Election Day, October 4, you are eligible to participate in this election. You must still register by the September 4 deadline. You can register to vote online at the Alaska Division of Elections website, or in person at any of the following locations during regular business hours:
- Municipal Clerk’s Office – City Hall Room 202 (155 S. Seward Street)
- All three Juneau Public Libraries (Downtown, Douglas, Mendenhall Valley branches)
- State of Alaska Division of Elections – Region I Office located in the Mendenhall Mall Annex
- Zach Gordon Youth Center (396 Whittier Street)
September 4 is also the deadline for registered voters to update their registration information for the upcoming election. You can check your current registration info at myvoterinformation.alaska.gov. Make sure your mailing address is up to date in order to receive your ballot in the mail.
All registered Juneau voters will receive a municipal election ballot at the mailing address on file with the State of Alaska Division of Elections beginning mid-September. Voters will then be able to return their ballots by drop box or USPS mail, or to vote in person at a Juneau Vote Center, through October 4, Election Day. To request your ballot be sent to a temporary mailing address, or to request a fax or e-Ballot, visit juneau.org/clerk/elections. The deadline to request your ballot be mailed to a temporary address is Tuesday, September 27. The deadline to request a fax/e-Ballot is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3.
