Juneau Pools reduce capacity starting Thursday, Aug. 26

Due to the City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center raising the overall community risk to Level 3 High, Parks and Recreation has altered some operations to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

• Juneau Pools will reduce capacity limits at both pools. Effective Thursday, August 26:
  • Maximum capacity at Augustus Brown Pool is 50 (lowered from 80)
  • Maximum capacity at Dimond Park Aquatic Center is 80 (lowered from 130)

Masks are still required everywhere inside the pool facilities, except in the water or while actively showering.

• Youth Indoor Soccer has been cancelled for the season.

Treadwell Arena, Zach Gordon Youth Center, and Dimond Park Field House will continue to operate under its current COVID-19 mitigation measures, resulting in no change for the public. The Adult Volleyball season is proceeding as scheduled with its originally established COVID-19 mitigation measures in place.
