Zach Gordon Youth Center hiring for multiple new positions; apply by Feb. 24
The Zach Gordon Youth Center, a division of the City and Borough of Juneau’s Parks and Recreation Department, is hiring for multiple new positions located at the new, as-yet-to-be-opened Mendenhall Valley area youth shelter for runaway and homeless youth. Positions include:
- Youth Shelter Coordinator (full-time)
- Youth Housing Navigator (full-time)
- Youth Advocates (two openings, full-time)
- Youth Development Leaders (three openings, full-time)
- Youth Development Leaders (three openings, part-time )

Help with CBJ’s COVID-19 response: Apply to be a screening hotline worker
The City and Borough of Juneau is recruiting for multiple temporary positions to staff the COVID-19 Screening Hotline. The hotline screens callers for COVID-19 testing and provides general information to the public. If you are interested in helping CBJ respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, consider applying today. Pay is $22.69 per hour. Training will be provided to all hotline staff. The call center is open 7 days a week. Full-time shifts are preferred and available; limited part-time shifts may be available.
CBJ is looking for people who are detail-oriented and dependable. Ideal candidates have excellent listening and communication skills, are able to provide a high level of customer service to all callers, and are critical thinkers. Job responsibilities include answering phone calls from the public and screening for COVID-19 testing, performing data entry of screening and testing information, and answering general questions related to COVID-19.
