CBJ Assembly Makes Appointment to the Systemic Racism Review Committee

The City and Borough of Juneau Assembly, at a Special Assembly Meeting held Thursday, August 25, 2022 via Zoom Webinar, made the following appointment to the Systemic Racism Review Committee.  The Assembly appointed Ephraim Froehlich to a term beginning immediately and ending June 30, 2025.

The Assembly would like to thank those individuals who are willing to serve on a CBJ board/committee.  CBJ has a number of boards, commissions, and committees with vacant seats on a rotational basis. CBJ Assembly Meeting Scheduling Changes in August & September

The August 22, 2022 Regular Assembly Meeting has been cancelled.

Consent Agenda items and New Business items scheduled for the August 22 meeting will be taken up during a Special Assembly meeting scheduled for Monday, August 29, 2022 beginning at 6:00p.m.

Following the Consent Agenda and New Business Items, the remainder of this Special Assembly meeting, the Assembly will convene a joint meeting with the Planning Commission. This Special Assembly meeting will take the place of the Assembly Committee of the Whole meeting previously scheduled for August 29.

Ordinances scheduled for Public Hearing at the August 22 Regular Assembly meeting have been rescheduled to the September 12 Regular Assembly Meeting for Public Hearing and Assembly action.

The August 29 Special Assembly meeting and the September 12 Regular meeting will be held in the Assembly Chambers, via Zoom webinar, and YouTube Livestream. Public participation will be in accordance with the following protocols:

The public may participate in person or via Zoom webinar. Testimony time will be limited by the Mayor based on the number of participants. Members of the public that want to provide oral testimony via remote participation must notify the Municipal Clerk prior to 4pm the day of the meeting by calling 907-586-5278. For in-person participation at the meeting, a sign-up sheet will be made available at the back of the Chambers and advance sign-up is not required. Members of the public are encouraged to send their comments in advance of the meeting to [email protected].

CBJ Assembly Makes Appointments to the Planning Commission and Eaglecrest Board

The City and Borough of Juneau Assembly, at a Special Assembly Meeting held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 via Zoom Webinar, made the following appointments to the Planning Commission and the Eaglecrest Board.

Planning Commission

The Assembly appointed Matthew Bell to the Planning Commission, for an unexpired term beginning immediately and ending December 31, 2024.

Eaglecrest Board

The Assembly appointed Hannah Shively to the Eaglecrest Board, for an unexpired term beginning immediately and ending June 30, 2024.
