With local ordinance in place, traveling public will see no change in airport testing requirements

February 12, 2021 – News

The City and Borough of Juneau Assembly last night adopted an emergency ordinance that mirrors current state health mandates as they apply to travel and COVID-19 testing, specifically current State Health Order 6 and 8. The State of Alaska’s emergency declaration may expire 11:59 p.m. February 13, taking away the state’s authority to mandate travel-related testing. Regardless of what happens on the state level, the traveling public will see no change in requirements due to having the local ordinance in place.

To reiterate, there is no change to COVID-19 testing requirements at the Juneau International Airport for the traveling public.

See CBJ’s travel webpage for more information on travel testing requirements in and out of Juneau.
