Travel to Juneau from outside Alaska
- All travelers arriving from out-of-state must register on the State of Alaska Travel Portal at alaska.covidsecureapp.com
- All travelers arriving from out-of-state must adhere to one of the following:
- If you have proof of a qualifying negative COVID-19 test, you must:
- Strict social distance for 5 days
- If you are awaiting results from a test taken 72 hours before departure, you must:
- Strict social distance for 5 days
- Continue to strict social distance if test results have not been received after 5 days
- If you didn’t take a pre-test, you must:
- Book an appointment with Fulgent Genetics at juneau.fulgentgenetics.com and take a COVID-19 test upon arriving at the Juneau International Airport (this is free for Alaska residents and costs $250 for nonresidents)
- Strict social distance for 5 days
- Continue to strict social distance if test results have not been received after 5 days
- OR Self-quarantine for 14 days (Only Alaska residents have this option)
- If you’re an Alaska resident and have been out-of-state for less than 72 hours, you must self-monitor for any symptoms, even mild ones, for 14 days after arrival. It is also recommended (but not required) that you:

- Strict social distance for 5 days
- Continue to strict social distance if test results have not been received after 5 days

- When outdoors, wear a face covering and stay six feet away from anyone not in your household.
- Don’t participate in any group activities, including sporting events and practices, weddings, funerals, or other gatherings.

While in Juneau
After your strict social distancing period is complete, you:
- Must wear a mask in all public indoor areas and public outdoor areas where 6-ft distance can’t be maintained
- Must maintain 6-ft of social distance from individuals not in your household/bubble
- Should avoid crowds, indoor gatherings, and close contact situations
- Should wash your hands, use hand sanitizer, clean frequently touched areas
- If you develop any new symptoms, even mild ones, stay home/in your Juneau accommodation and call a healthcare provider or the COVID-19 Screening Hotline to arrange testing. The COVID-19 Screening Hotline number, 586-6000, is available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Travel from Juneau to outside Alaska
- Check the destination location for local/state/country travel restrictions. If the location requires a negative test prior to arrival, consult your healthcare provider or another Juneau health clinic; testing for this purpose cannot be done at the Juneau International Airport or any other City and Borough of Juneau testing facility.
