Tongass Blvd Reconstruction & Crest Street Reconstruction projects start Monday, April 4
City and Borough of Juneau contractors are scheduled to begin work on the Tongass Boulevard Reconstruction and Crest Street Reconstruction projects on Monday, April 4.
Tongass Boulevard Reconstruction Project:
Phase I of the Tongass Boulevard Reconstruction Project includes reconstruction of the Tongass Boulevard from the intersection of Trinity Drive to Dudley Street. The intersection at Tongass Boulevard and Trinity Drive will initially be closed for approximately two weeks. After that, closures will vary throughout the project area.
Phase 1 work generally includes excavation and replacement of the roadbed; removal and replacement of water, sewer and storm drain utilities and services; new pavement, sidewalks, curb and gutter, and other miscellaneous related work.
Crest Street Reconstruction Project:
The Crest Street Reconstruction Project includes reconstruction of Crest Street from the intersection of Yandukin Drive to Old Dairy Road. Work will begin at the intersection of Yandukin Drive and Crest Street. Work will continue northward, and closures will vary throughout the project area.
Work generally includes excavation and replacement of the roadbed; removal and replacement of water, sewer and storm drain utilities and services; new pavement, sidewalks, street lighting, curb and gutter, and other miscellaneous related work.
