Share your thoughts on climate change June 14
The Juneau Commission on Sustainability is hosting a Governor’s Climate Action Leadership Team Listening Session on June 14 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in City Hall Chambers. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and give a short (3-5 minute) public testimony on their thoughts or concerns related to climate change in Alaska, and/or the work of the climate team. Sign-up for public testimony will close at 7:30 p.m.
Governor Bill Walker established the Alaska Climate Change Strategy and Climate Action for Alaska Leadership Team in October 2017. Chaired by Lieutenant Governor Byron Mallott, the Leadership Team has 20 members from different sectors across the state. Juneau resident Michael LeVine is part of the Leadership Team and will be at the listening session.
