Share your input on community hazards with CBJ and Tlingit & Haida

January 23, 2025 – News

The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) is updating their 2012 Hazard Mitigation Plan. CBJ has invited Tlingit & Haida (T&H) to join in the planning, process making this a multi-jurisdictional plan meeting both local and Tribal FEMA requirements.  When approved, the jurisdictions will be eligible to apply for funding for the projects identified in the hazard mitigation plan that are intended to reduce or eliminate the risk to the hazards identified in the jurisdiction.

We need your input.  Please provide your input regarding the hazards in your community by filling out the project survey here: 2025 City & Borough of Juneau and Tlingit & Haida Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Survey

Please see our project Storymap at 2025 CBJ and T&H Hazard Mitigation Plan Update for more information.

Our first public meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, January 29 at 5:00 pm at City Hall Assembly Chambers (155 Heritage Way).  For those not able to join in person, the meeting will also be hosted remotely via Microsoft Teams.
