Salmon Creek Siren Test this Thursday

Alaska Electric Light & Power (AEL&P) will be conducting a Salmon Creek Siren Test on Thursday, October 11 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The test of the Salmon Creek emergency evacuation sirens is taking place in conjunction with the City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Programs.

Periodic tests are important and allow AEL&P technicians to ensure the siren sound levels are adequate should there ever be an actual emergency. To emphasize, the siren on Thursday, October 11 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. is only a test; do not evacuate.
