Paving Work To Take Place on Aspen Avenue and Wood Duck Avenue Monday

As part of the City and Borough of Juneau 2022 Area-Wide Paving Project, the following paving projects will take place beginning Monday, August 15:

Wood Duck Avenue (cul-de-sac north of Taku)
Remove existing pavement 8/15/2022
Paving upon grade approval, prior to 8/20/2022

Aspen Avenue (between Portage and Pinewood)
Remove existing pavement 8/15/2022
Paving upon grade approval, prior to 8/20/2022

Construction crews will operate between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. During asphalt removal and grading operations, the affected street and residences will be accessible with only minor delays to vehicular traffic; access will be granted only to those residences within the work zone. (No through traffic will be allowed.) During asphalt paving operations, the affected street will be closed to vehicular traffic and there will be no vehicle access to residences. Residences will be given 24 hours notice prior to the beginning of paving operations. Residents who need to use their vehicles during this time are asked to make plans to move their vehicles out of the driveway and off the street by 6:00 AM the day paving is scheduled.
