No new cases of COVID-19 reported in Juneau today

No new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Juneau today. Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,049 residents test positive for COVID-19 since March and 135 nonresidents. One previously unreported case was added to the resident total due to data verification procedures. There are 29 active cases in Juneau and 1,150 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) today reports 180 new people identified with COVID-19 – 170 are residents and 10 are nonresidents. The state also reports a recent death – was a male Bethel Census Area resident in his 60s – bringing the total number of resident deaths to 259. Alaska has had 51,951 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 1,719 nonresidents.

Vaccine information

According to DHSS, 4,797 people in the Juneau region have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine – either Pfizer or Moderna – and 1,268 have completed both doses. Statewide, 84,746 people have received their first dose and 21,100 have completed both doses.
