Get your adolescent vaccinated before school starts Aug. 16

July 28, 2021 – FYI

The first day of the Juneau School District’s 2021-2022 school year is August 16—and kids and teachers are planning to go back to full-time, in-person classes. Currently, Juneau is seeing an increase in case activity, including with community spread. The best way to protect your adolescent from COVID-19 is to get them vaccinated—and getting vaccinated also helps protect those who can’t yet be vaccinated.

The Pfizer vaccine is approved for anyone ages 12 or older, and it is safe and highly effective. While most children with COVID experience mild symptoms, some do develop serious side effects.

Sign your child up for a vaccine appointment by visiting juneau.org/vaccine, or call 586-6000.
