Deadline for Juneau Airport terminal art proposals is April 4

The City and Borough of Juneau has invited artists to submit proposals for the design, production, and installation of art for the Juneau International Airport Terminal Reconstruction Project. This is a reminder that proposals are due April 4 at 2 p.m.

Art has an important role in enhancing the public’s enjoyment of the airport. The Call for Artists adheres to the CBJ ordinance that requires 1 percent of the cost of construction to be used toward public art in the facility. The solicitation is running concurrently with the Terminal Reconstruction Project design process so that art can be integrated into the building’s design. The reconstruction project includes portions of the terminal for regional air carrier services and airport administrative offices.
