Construction on 2nd and Gold Streets begins July 26

As part of the City and Borough of Juneau 2021 Area Wide Paving Project, CBJ contractor SECON is scheduled to begin work on 2^nd Street and Gold Street on Monday, July 26. As part of the project, the North Franklin Street pay parking lot will be closed on August 2.

Construction will impact 2^nd Street between North Franklin and Gold Streets and Gold Street between 2^nd and 3^rd Streets. Major work items will include the grading and replacing the existing pavement. Traffic will be impacted during construction. Expect delays, and please watch for traffic control signs, detour routes, construction equipment, and personnel.
