Comment Period Extended for Juneau Douglas North Crossing Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study

The comment period on the list of preliminary alternatives for the Juneau Douglas North Crossing Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study has been extended to February 2, 2023.

The project is a partnership between the City and Borough of Juneau and the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities to study a possible transportation corridor to connect Juneau with the north end of Douglas Island. An initial list of potential locations (preliminary alternatives) for a new crossing was released for public comment; based on comments received to date, the study team has modified one of the proposed alternatives and extended the comment period accordingly.
