CBJ reports five new COVID-19 cases in Juneau
The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting five new individuals with COVID-19 in Juneau – four are residents and one is a nonresident. Public Health is attributing one of the resident cases to community spread, one to secondary transmission, and two are under investigation. The nonresident case is in the mining sector.
Cumulatively, Juneau has had 894 residents test positive for COVID-19 since March and 116 nonresidents. There are 32 active cases in Juneau and 973 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.
Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services today reports 366 new people with COVID-19 – 360 are residents and six are nonresidents. The state reports two deaths – a female Anchorage resident in her 70s and a male Anchorage resident in his 60s – bringing the total number of resident deaths to 182.
Alaska has had 41,418 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 1,438 nonresidents.
