As Sigoowu Ye Park Reopens October 21, Reminder Bikes Not Allowed in Park

Sigoowu Ye Park, located at 5921 Pine Street in Lemon Creek, reopens today, October 21 after chicane fencing was installed at the park entrances. Sigoowu Ye Park was temporarily closed in September after the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) received reports of dangerous bike activity in the park. CBJ thanks park users for their patience while these safety improvements were completed.

The CBJ Parks & Recreation department reminds the public that bikes are not allowed in Sigoowu Ye Park. CBJ offers two designated bike parks for Juneau riders, Cope Park bike skills park and the recently opened Thunder Mountain Bike Park.

Residents can find other parks to enjoy at Find a Park webpage.
